Introduction
This policy explains how Quotellect handles information when you use the mobile app.
Information stored on your device
Quotellect stores your favourites, preferences and personal quote and word packs on your device. You do not need a Quotellect account. Widgets use a local copy of your selected content.
The app does not include advertising or a Quotellect-operated analytics service. This does not mean that Apple, Google or every device service collects no information; relevant services are described below.
On-device AI
Personal quote and word packs are generated using your device’s AI service on compatible devices. Quotellect does not send your themes or generated packs to a Quotellect-operated server. Model availability, downloads, supported languages and usage limits depend on your device and its provider.
On iOS, generation uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models service. Apple Intelligence must be available and enabled on supported hardware.
On Android, generation uses Google’s on-device AI services. Google’s ML Kit SDK collects diagnostic and usage information, which can include device and app details, identifiers, performance and error information, language settings, and input/output sizes. Google uses this information to operate and improve its services. On-device generation does not mean that SDK diagnostics are disabled.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes payments for Pro. Quotellect reads store purchase and entitlement information to determine whether you have Pro access, restore purchases and handle purchase status. Quotellect does not receive your payment-card details. Purchases are associated with the store account used to buy them.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew unless cancelled through the relevant store. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase. Removing the app does not cancel an active subscription.
Reminders and sharing
Daily reminders are optional local notifications. You can change or disable reminders in the app and manage notification permission in your device settings.
When you choose to share a card or text, the selected content is passed to the app or recipient you choose. That service’s own privacy practices apply after sharing.
Backups and deletion
Your operating system may include Quotellect’s local data in device backups, depending on your settings. Removing the app or clearing its storage removes local app data; restoring a backup may restore that data. Manage backups through your device or cloud-backup provider.
Apple and Google retain purchase records according to their own policies. Deleting local Quotellect data does not delete those store records or cancel a subscription.
Contacting support
If you email us, we receive the address you send from and any information or attachments you include. We use that information to respond to your request and investigate the issue. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in a support request.
Your applicable privacy rights depend on your location and the information involved.
This website and blog
This website serves public pages and published articles from Jon CMS. This website has no visitor accounts, contact forms, newsletter signup, advertising trackers, analytics scripts or non-essential cookies. Fonts are served from this website.
Your browser makes requests to the website host and, where an article uses external media or an embedded service, to that service. Those requests can expose technical information such as an IP address and browser details.
